I had a desk like this in a second bedroom to run my online furniture sales business from North Carolina. It was in a condo on the bottom floor. A water pipe broke due to extreme weather and the condo was filled with over 300,000 gallons of water. It looked like an indoor swimming pool with about 3 feet of water in it. Everything on the floor including my computer was destroyed with all of my business and personal records. I also lost my personal pictures and other important documents like divorce papers, banking info, passport, immigration documents etc...I just sat down on a box and cried. The first thing the first responders asked was where is the main water turnoff. I did not know. Call your power company right now. Who is your superintendant and what is their number? and... you better call your insurance company. So now, you know why I created this site.
